Houses

Jinnah House

The House is named after Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He was born in Karachi, British India, in 1876 , studied in England and died in Karachi, Pakistan, in 1948. He is the founder of Pakistan. He is called the Quaid e Azam , the great leader of his nation, whom he had led in their freedom movement which culminated in their liberation from the British in 1947. Jinnah house was built in 2010 in double story design with sixteen quads, eight single rooms for cadets, two recreation halls, and an office and room for the house master and deputy house master. The house accommodates about 80 cadets at a time. The cadets are called ‘Jinnahians’ and their motto is ‘ Jinnahian, the leader’.Jinnahians have excelled in many fields. Two of the ex cadets are serving Pak. Army as officers and many have been pursuing their careers in the prestigious institutions of the country and around the world as well. They are top achievers in academics and good at extracurricular activities. The House has remained Runner up in the near past too.

Iqbal House

The house is named after Allama Muhammad Iqbal. He was born in Sialkot, British India, in 1877, studied doctorate in philosophy from Germany and died in Lahore, Pakistan, in 1938. He is popularly known as the Poet of the East. He is national poet of Pakistan as well. Today’s Pakistan is the very realization of his vision. His poetry ,compiled as ‘Quliyat-e- Iqbal’, is heart touching and thought provoking. It is composed on multiple topics of religion, civilization, history, nationalism, humanity, nature and mysticism. The house was built in 2010 in double story design with sixteen quads, eight single rooms for cadets, two recreation halls and an office and room for the house master and deputy house master. All the rooms are spacious, airy and fitted with evaporating cooling system. The house has an accommodation capacity of the house is about 80 cadets at a time. The cadets of the house are called the Iqbalians and their motto is ‘ Iqbalian- the eagle.’ It is a peculiar quality of the Iqbalians that they memorize the poetry of Allama Iqbal and compete in Hifz e Iqbal contests held frequently at provincial and national levels. The Iqbalians are excellent in academics and sports. Two of the ex-cadets are serving as officers in Pak Army and many others have been pursuing their studies in the best institutions of the country and abroad. The Iqbalians are champions at present and they have remained for twice in the past too.

Bhittai House

Bhittai House is named after the Sufi legend poet and saint of Sindh, Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai (1690-1752). He is buried in Bhitt Shah , a town of Matiari District of Sindh. In fact, the village got the name ‘Bhitshah’ due to the burial place of the saint. Shah Abdul Latif is recognized as the greatest poet of Sindhi language. His everlasting work is ‘ Shah Jo Risalo’, Which is a masterpiece of Sindhi literature. It is book of poetry of the saint which contains poems relating to mostly mysticism. Bhittai House was built in 2010. It is a double story building with 16 quads, 12 single rooms, two recreation halls and an office and a room for the HM and DHM. It can accommodate about 80 cadets at a time. The cadets are called ‘Latifians’and their motto is ‘ Latifian the lengend’. They are excellent in studies and good in co-curricular activities. It is a peculiar quality of them to recite the poetry of Shah Abdul Latif by heart and take part in Hifz e Latif contests held frequently at provincial and national levels.

Z.A Bhutto House

ZAB house is named after Zulifqar Ali Bhutto, the former PM of Pakistan. He was born in 1928 at Larkana, Sindh, and British India and was hanged to death in 1979 in Pakistan on a murder charge. His charisma still lives on. People still cherish his public welfare reforms and policies, he had introduced during his reign (1972-77). Zulifqar Ali Bhutto was one of the visionary and diehard political leaders of the Muslim world who had a roadmap for uniting the Muslim Ummah against the hegemony of the west. His historic works, he had done for the country, were making Constitution of 1973 and founding the Nuclear Program. The ZAB house was built in 2016 with an aesthetic design. It is double story building with, one spacious recreation hall and an office and a room for the HM and DHM. It can house about 85 cadets at time. Cadets’ demonym is Zabians and their motto is ‘Zabians the challengers’. They are unbeatable in sports and good in academics. Ex Zabians are pursuing their careers in different prestigious universities of the country.

Mathelo House

Mathelo House is named after a historical village of district Ghotki, called ‘Mathelo’. It is situated at a distance of 8 miles from Ghotki city. The city of Mirpur Mathelo , district headquarter of Ghotki, is also named after this ancient archeological site. It is in Mathelo where an old palace of ‘Moomal; a daughter of Raja Nand is located. The palace was built around 590 AD during the reign of Rai Sihasi II, the ruler of Sindh. The site which now contains a mound of about 15 ft. high and few ancient remains is under the possession of the Antiquities Department of Government of Sindh. Mathelo House was built in 2010. It is a double story building with 16 quads, 12 single rooms, two recreation halls, and an office and a room for the House Master and Deputy House Master. All the rooms are spacious, airy and fitted with evaporating cooling system The cadets are nicknamed as ‘ Mathelians’ and their motto is ‘ mathelian, the dazzler’. They are very agile sportsmen and good debaters. They have remained Runners twice in the past. The Ex-mathelians have been pursuing their careers in the renowned universities of the country. One of them has been serving Pak.Navy as an officer.

Sir Syed House

The House is named after Sir Syed Ahmed Khan (1817–1898), one of the most influential Muslim reformers, educators, and visionaries of the South Asian subcontinent. He was the pioneering force behind the Aligarh Movement, which sparked a modern educational revolution among Muslims and laid the foundation of the Two-Nation Theory. Sir Syed House was established to instill his legacy of intellectual excellence, progressive thinking, and dedication to knowledge within our cadets. Built with a modern, double-story design, the house features sixteen spacious quads, eight single rooms for cadets, two recreation halls, and dedicated office and living quarters for the House Master and Deputy House Master. To ensure a comfortable living and learning environment, comfortably accommodating up to 80 cadets. The residents of this House are known as “Syedians”, and they live by the inspiring motto, “Knowledge is Power”. True to their namesake, the Syedians consistently excel in academics, debates, and scientific pursuits, while maintaining a strong record in sports and extracurricular competitions. Aligned with the high standards of Cadet College Ghotki, ex-cadets from Sir Syed House have gone on to serve with distinction as officers in the Pakistan Armed Forces and continue to build successful careers in prestigious medical, engineering, and tech institutions worldwide.
